Tech missionary · Serving East Africa

Helping the global church spend less time fighting spreadsheets.

I’m Doug. I spent more than a decade building websites and apps for businesses. Now I help churches, orphan-care ministries, and Bible translation teams get the digital tools they need, and I train local developers so it all keeps running long after I’ve flown home.

Why tech missions?

Broken tools cost ministries more than money.

Around the world, faithful ministries are doing incredible work on duct-taped technology. Their websites are hacked, their donor lists live on one laptop, and the one volunteer who “knows computers” moved away in 2019.

Every hour a pastor spends fighting a spreadsheet is an hour not spent with people. I want to give those hours back, and build local teams who can carry the work forward without me.

What I do

Three ways we’re serving the church.

Code Camp

Twelve-week cohorts that train local believers as web developers, then place them with ministries that need them. Teach a person to code and a ministry eats for a lifetime.

Ministry Tech Rescue

Websites, donor records, email, and backups for churches and ministries, set up right, documented, and handed over to people who can maintain them.

Safe Online

Practical digital-security training for workers in sensitive places, because some of our partners can’t afford a data breach that ends in more than a bad day.

Since we landed

Small team, steady fruit.

Monthly support

We’re 72% of the way to fully funded.

Monthly partners are the backbone of this ministry. They keep us on the field and let us say yes when a ministry needs help. If you’ve been thinking about it, this is your sign. (It’s a website. But still.)

Monthly support goal

$4,680 pledged monthlyGoal: $6,500

$1,820/month to go. That’s 36 people giving $50, or one very enthusiastic person giving $1,820. We aren’t picky.
